i might be wrong but the quite one 6000 is 1506gph and the Eheim is 713gph :?:

next thing now high should be the water level i have it like 1ins but get this gurgling noise

1 inch is fine.
Gurgle is from your drain routing.

Make sure the drain always angles down, not up or sideways.

I had gurgling drains when I tested with freshwater, but they went away when I actually ran salt water. With freshwater I was getting a vortice that would pull air down into the drain. So, if you are testing with freshwater, don't do anything about it until you get it running with salt.
