Ok, so I want to make a new pipe that my ATS will sit in. The one I have now, the slot is a little too wide and kind of uneven (more flow from certain areas, less flow from others).

Anyone have any advice on the best way to cut the slot? I used a dremel tool last time and I didn't like how that turned out. It was way to hard to keep the cut consistent (the width and keeping it straight).
Basically, I don't have any tools to actually do this. I had to borrow a Dremel last time. But I'm sure I could beg/borrow/steal whatever means are necessary.

Also I have them pre-cut at santa-monica.cc

I used a small 18-volt skill saw with a 7" blade that I have. I held the pipe in a workmate table-vise, and clamped a straight edge to guide the saw straight. It worked great. I tried the dremel, but couldn't get a straight even cut.

Good stuff. Hey SM, what size pipe are you using in those? It looks like maybe 3/4" or 1"?

I used the exact saw that Santa Monica posted. I bought it at Harbor Freight for $40 and it cut my 1-1/2" PVC fine, albiet slowly because it isn't that powerful of a saw.
