3 SM 100's for sale

I have 3 of them...1 is for sale now, the other 2 will be sold when new tank is completed. I will not set a date for the other 2 as my new setup is a huge undertaking and I will not rush the setup. I need to keep the 2 units as well to keep my live rock filtered on my current 200gal tank.

The one that I have for sale now, is brand new, in the box, unopened. The box has not been unpacked, opened, or touched since the day I put it on the shelf when it arrived with the other two units. Selling for $600. First come, first served! I work 12+ hour days over the next 4 days, so I won't be able to ship til monday.

Why are you selling as a matter of interest?

These units seem to do as they say, and are well put together units. However, I have found that with my crazy work schedule, there are other filtration systems on the market these days that are more "set and go" that dont require as much tinkering so to speak. My new tank is going to be approx. 450+gal total volume, so in theory I would need at lease one more sm100, or maybe even 2. That means I would be cleaning a screen about every other day, and with my new job, that just not going to be feasible.

Or you could have one custom built that would handle the whole shebang in one scrubber.

I have one sm100 ready to sell now...$500 new in the box + two more used ones for sale in a few weeks, or best offer. New tank almost done, so will have two used units for sale in a few weeks or so. I have about 10 spare bulbs as well that I will throw in.

Thanks for the sudden interest...the new unit is already sold. I will have a couple of 5 month old units available in about a month that I will sell for $250 each. Or better yet, $500 will take my 180gal reef ready tank, lighting, pumps, sump, everything including one sm100 :o

Wow, that's a crazy deal... Great price for the tank and for the sm100. Someone should really jump on this...

Out of interest, what new filtration system will you be using on the new tank?

Its a 400 gal tank, so FYI the one drawback with the scrubbers other than having to have four of them is the clarity of the water. On a 6' wide by 3.5' deep by 32 tall the clarity would just be too cloudy for my liking. On top of that, just too much screen cleaning with four scrubbers. So I decided to go with the following...

Biopellette reactor, carbon reactor, phos reactor and a overkill of a skimmer.

I think he means "food particles" instead of "cloudy". Cloudy would be from a dying screen.

Got my SM100 in the mail. Thanks again Bryan... All of the bulbs made it in one piece as well.

Just a heads up...I have two scrubbers left, one is semi spoken for, and the other will be ready to go end of next week. I'll be finishing the plumbing work this weekend on the new tank, then about a week to move everything over. With the new tank, I have a ton of other stuff left over if anyone is in the market for some great used items(for cheap!):
