To SM or anyone that can pitch in. What SG level will kill the algae or it will live without a problem. EX. Hypo treatment of SG at 1.010, say with Formalin III and or CopperSafe. Will the medication kill the algae also? or would the algae suck up all the medication?

Good questions. No testing has been done on this. But I don't think any of those things will hurt.

That was quick response. :) Well, i am going to start experimenting on seeing how well it works with QT/HT tanks. It will be awsome if it works on those tanks, especially on HT, since we won't have any traditional bio filters. anyways, crossing my fingers and hope it works.

Do be careful, there are many treatments that say they will kill algae, I'm not sure how hyposalinity or copper will affect it though. You may find there are different types of algae that grow better than others in the QT conditions.
