Ok,Finally ive built my scrubber and got it online in one of my corner 54 gallon tanks.The ammonia is at .5 nitrates at 10 nitrites at 0.Scrubber has 4x7watt t5 2700k bulbs each side of the screen that is 12 x5 .I estimate my mag 950 with headloss and scwd to be around 500 gph.Looks like good even flow on the cactus looking knitting screen that has 1/4x1/4 holes .Day three, no growth on this new tank with only cycling liverock .The livesand i used was sitting in a bucket for like a week befor i got it into the tank ,so thats why the ammonia and nitrates are present id assume.Should i expect it to take longer for a new tank to develope anything on the screen?Or am i just being impacient or do i need to readjust anything?Thanks Ken
