cleaning the slot and bottom of the scrubber body are a PIA but still worth it :)

One of my pet peeves was always the light that spills into the room from the ATS, but designing one with that problem in mind solved it for me.

Ok I added the light-into-sump, but I guess that resets it to zero. So please re-vote...

I'll take all of the above 'drawbacks' over all the drawbacks of traditional filtration thank you. I voted the salt spray since I had to choose one.

Although there are many on this forum who have made their own scrubbers, I think if there were more commercially available the idea may take off. I for one have no DIY skills whatsoever and so would not even attempt it, water and electric are not the best of friends!

That falls under the "most are diy" choice.

Beeing DIYable is a plus for me. I woted for weekly cleaning, but even a TV needs sweeping of the dust sometimes. So - very small drawback really.

yeah, i think that the diy its a really cool thing! and the weekly cleaning, its not a drawback!
you would need to control all your tank, and if your screen its ok, your tank is ok! :D
