14 watts.

You have a 150 gallon tank. Unless you're going to keep literally nothing in there it's not going to be any use at all.

I can get a 45 watt all red led version ? 650 nm LEDs?

Decided to go with these at 50 watts I would have a pair of them either side and about 2 1/2 inches from the screen , does that sound ok ?

Have some CFL's with reflectors on hand for backup.

Dunno, might be ok, but I wouldn't pay 2 x £85 for something that might not work. I'd just go with the CFLs (which would cost you 5 quid a side for the bulb holder, reflector and bulb), like SM suggests and see how it works out.

The CFLs definitely do work.

But it's your money.

Got the 45 watt version for 50£ each nothing ventured nothing gained ;) how ever it turn out pics will be posted and outcomes as well :) thanks for advice so far guys
