If you have a nano, and have not been able to easily put a scrubber below or above it, this might work for you.

You probably have all the parts you need.

Well, since 660nm LEDs are doing a good job, and also after looking at a few hundred more scrubber builds, it looks like by this time next year nothing will be related to what they are today. The new versions next year will make good use of LEDs, but even with fluorescents they will be much easier to build, so nobody should have to go without, especially nano's. One version is even for pico's, and could be made in a few minutes or sold at retail for under $20. So if you are designing one of any size, you might want to wait to see the new ones.

Is this something that is being geared more towards nano/smaller tanks? If so do you have plans to translate it to a large scale setup?

The designs are buildable to any size you want. My first attempts however will be for smaller ones.

I'm very interested in this project. I've been trying to shoehorn a DIY scrubber in my sump for some time now. No luck yet. I want to use ZEO and a scrubber next to eachother. So a smaller design would be really great. Seeing how the suncorals appreciate scrubbers won me over very quickly. It adds something to the watercolumn which other systems don't.

Santamonica, I followed your thread on the ZEO-forum with great interest. It's very unfair how the rusty Zeoheads discarded your very innovating information.

Glad you like the info. Yes the new versions(s) will fit anywhere, depending on how good you want it to look. Not needing a sump was the primary need for the new design, which makes it nano friendly.

Remember that zeo/etc will probably compete with the scrubber, unless you mean just the bacteria additives

Magic! I'm looking forward to it!

I realise that yes. I will not be able t judge this system at all based on my findings. But that's ok. Just want to see if the nutrients/pods added by the scrubber will benefit.

Just wondering if the new design is expected to be as efficient for coldwater tanks. If so I will try one on my daughters 30 gallon fancy goldfish tank. Those fancies don't half put out a lot of waste!

I think they'll be the same. The size of screen needed should not change.

Welcome.

Might you be interested in manufacturing in Taiwan? The reason I ask is that Taiwan is not part of the Paris or PCT convention, and therefore you must file Taiwan patents before anything is posted online. In other words, once you see it posted online, it is too late to patent in Taiwan.

Thank you for your warning.I do not sell ATS in Taiwan.Taiwanese has no interest to ATS. I like ATS because that is very natural .I wish to obtain more knowledge on this forum .
