Been scouring the net for Cree 3 Watt deep reds ~660nm without much luck. I don't think Cree has a 660 in their current high end line-up, or my Google-Fu failed.

I am only familiar with Cree, but am up for any quality 3 Watt ~660 chip.

I am not to keen on the China LED panels, due to cost, shipping, quality concern, and not being fully tested. And I would like to try my hand at an LED build.

Correct, Cree doesn't make 660nm Far Red LEDs. I used the OSRAM 660nm that rapidled.com sells like rossco838 mentioned. It has worked even better than expected, although I am sure Floyd's LED lights he is getting custom made will be the cream of the crop and blow mine away.

OSRAM are high quality, even the new EcoTech Radion LED light has 4 OSRAM red LEDs in it along with Cree's.

Fantastic. I really didn't feel like dealing with oversea shipping/returns. Thanks!

Can't wait to see Floyd's build and results.
