Hey guys here are a few pics of my new ats.. whole tank has only been set up for a month.. and algae scrubber for a week and a few days.. first cleaning was yesterday..
You will see I have it fed two ways.. from the overflow and from a pump.. reason for this is because I only run about 250gph thru my set up and the overflow was not enough water to cover the whole screen.. so I added a Mag 3 ...

the area where the scrubber sits serves also as a holding tank for chocolate chip starfish to feed my harley.. works out great b/c they feed off the stuff I feed the tank and then the water drains into the filter sock so I can pick up their mess.. lol.. works out great.
Hope you find it usefull.. feel free to ask any questions,.

Plumbing looks good, but you'll probably want to switch the lights to spirals with big reflector; will help with even coverage.

Funny you say that cus i was just gonna do that today.. i find that i get allot more growth in the sides where the light is less intense.. so imma try the big reflectors with the spiral.. if that doesnt work i was thinking of two bulbs per side.. what do u think?..

Hey guys... I did not like the flow I was getting.. so I made a few adjustments..
Now the scrubber is being fed by 2 maxijet 900s.. flow is so much better. Replaced lights and got bigger reflector...
I find that my choc chips stars are groing legs aloooot faster with this set up.. they get allot of food from the display..

My first set-up was very close to yours. It did a fine job just as yours is. Thats good growth you have going so far.

One more question... I feed 1 cube of mysis, two pinches of pellets and two pinches of nory along with two teaspons of dry cyclopheze at night for corals.. you think this size scrubber and lights can handle that?

I think you will be ok. Just Keep an eye on the nitrates weekly and see if it goes up. If it does you need more scrubber power but, I think you will be fine. My screen(9x6ish) is about your size and I feed about 4-5+ cube equivalent a day and am running barely detectable to 5PPM MAX of nitrate.

YOU got big reflectors LOL. You can probably feed more. Stay with what you are doing for a week or two and increase a little each week. You will find the happy medium.

I built a pvc stand for it and zip tied it.. i could not get it to fall even if i tried.. unless someone purposely cuts the ties it should not fall.
Today i plan on adding acrylic in front of the bulbs to protect against splash. Will post pics of that soon.
