I chuckle when I see posts about hair algae!

when I see someone on R/C posting about hair algae issues I just laugh! I am tempted to post "get an ATS" but I know it will fall on def ears,,and cause a firestorm of skimmer advocates. I have not had any kind of problem algae in my system for years now thanks to this site,santa,and my ATS. THANK YOU :)

Lol, agreed. I'm always tempted to chime in but I just don't feel like dealing with the aggressive responses. Thank goodness for people like SM, ACE and others who endure the ridicule of others in order to get more people on board.
I don't have the stomach for it ;)

We're lucky, 3 of the bigger 3 UK forums are pretty open minded about scrubbing and quite a few have tried. Some have given up, but none have slagged off the concept.

Plus 1000. What would it hurt to try something new if you're already failing. Maybe the fact that you'll see how great it is and their feelings will get crushed once they realize how much money they wasted:) and let me say this I barely post on this site but i've been on here all the time since I learned about scrubbers. Knowledge is powerful and all I want is a beautiful tank so I'm open to all ideas

I post advocating the algae scrubber almost daily now!
