With a scrubber are the levels of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate supposed to be zero cause mine are (ammonia 1.0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10) API test kit 8x8 screen running for 5 days with 23w cfl on one side and 42w just added 1 day ago on the other,
I will be replacing the 23w with another 42, tank has been running for 2.5 weeks with live rock from established tank also seeded with established sand

Anytime you move rocks... even if you just flip them over in the same tank... they are going to cycle because the light and the flow patterns are no longer going to deliver food particles to the life on (and in) the rock. And lifting rocking into the air is further going to kill all the sponges. So you simply have a cycle going.

Also have you looked at the new feeding based screen sizing guideline, and have you read the "double-light, half photoperiod" info? 8x8 is a really big screen now. Unless you're feeding 5 cubes/day.

This is my first saltwater tank and don't know how much I'll be feeding, so I figured I'd make it a little big and cut down as needed
