Pics of a Horizontal Scrubber

Here are some pics of the horizontal screen on my QT/pod breeding 10G tank. I know these are not the way to go but I figured I would post some pics of the 3D growth I get on mine bu utilizing the light (13W CFL) in the hood. This screen sets on a through I built to hang of the HOB filter. Very crud but it gets results and the best part is that it was just scrap I had laying around after a couple other projects. So be sides 15 minutes of my time it was free.

I should have posted this pic of the end that sets in the water. It gets real good growth for what it is. I like the blob name!! I Have not seen that movie since I was a little kid. Still before my time.

I would be interested in this type of scrubber as I don't have a lot of headroom between my sump and tank

Its just a piece of Plexiglas with some edges added to it and the screen on top of it is held in pace at the top end by a rubber band where theres no edges. You can glue the base to the overflow area of the HOB or with some other method as I used, hard to describe with out a pic. I will try to get one this weekend if I can.

Yes it's even simpler than the new scrubber.

It a cheap 10G combo from petsmart. Came with tank, hood, and a HOB filter so I have no idea on the flow.
