Canvas screen type ???

Hi all,

I read that Worley is using this type on canvas :

Can some one (Worley as you have it), indicate me the size of the inner squares and the thickness of the material, so I can go hunting for a similar one ?

The inner (hole) size is just over 1mm squared, thickness is 1mm.
My digital vernier calipers are out of batteries, so can't give you a mega accurate measurement, so this will have to do:

Is there any advantage in using that sort of screen as opposed to a piece of synthetic (non rot) woven cloth?
