let me start by saying that i am a huge fan of scrubbers, my saltwater scrubbed tanks are always crystal clear and look great. however I started a 30 gallon scrubbed goldfish tank about 6 months ago and the water is always green. The water is clear but tinted green. what causes this tint? what changes can I make to reduce the green tint?

Yes. Should have been fixed by now.
Another possibility is that that are you feeding green flakes.

Does the tank get a lot of direct sunlight?

no direct sun. I did a huge waterchange the day of the post and the water is cleared. and it looks like it will stay that way. maybe a bloom of phyto?

Probably, unless you are feeding green flakes.
