Hi people,

I am just wondering if i should go with an in-sump-DSB and the scrubber or just the scrubber ?
For info the tank is like a JBJ 28G, but will be rim-less, hood-less, internal sump-less, drilled with overflow.

I've read very good things about DSB and the complete opposite as well, and this is a bit misleading...... :(

So, if there is any one here with some long term experience and can share it I'll be more than glad to learn :)

I wouldn't. In would be counter productive. If DSB is reducing nitrates that your ATS will need. Also, could end up accumulating excess phosphate because there are not enough nitrates for the ATS ( although every tank is different and may not ).

DSB usually have bad results years down the road or if you have to disturb it for what ever unthinkable reason. It can release bad stuff into the water. I have not done the DSB in over a decade. I run scrubber only an could not be happier!!

You will need an ammonia remover somewhere, at least live rock.
