would this led light work?

i suck at soldering right now and would probably burn my house down with my first scrubber so i was wondering if these led bulbs would work from ebay just to get my feet wet until i can solder.

my screen is going to be about 48sq inches(8" wide) with a mag5 pump and since its about 1/5 the wattage of cfls for good led growth, i figured 12 watts on each side would be just about right.

If the light were far enough back so that the screen were evenly covered, it would be a good start. I've seen that light used a few other times.
