Super threads?

I am a little confused. But there could be a good reason so I figured id ask. I posted some questions and a pic about a UAS I was designing. Now it has been deleted and moved into a 33 page super thread.
1. Why?
2. If my post gets lost among the others in the thread and my questions never answered where should I repost?

I know there are threads for results, SM might have moved it to a page that better fits the question.
