waterfall vs upflow?? pros & cons?

I will be building LED's for my scrubber soon,but before I do I want to make SURE that my old school scrubber is worth it.:)

The thing that makes me want to keep my old scrubber is that I have all the bugs worked out on it. AND it is very easy to clean,adjust and repair.

The only thing that makes me want an up-fow is that I hear that it will solve my problem with rapidly falling KH levels. is that true??

please help me decide!

In theory, maybe. But you'll still need very strong growth to have any effect.
