this morning I found hundreds if not thousands of these tiny little baby shrimp on the acrylic walls of my tank. I also have found larger ones which seem to be the adults. Does anyone have a clue of what these are they don't look like a typical copepods that I've found in my tank?24352436243724382439:confused:

Ok, i got a loop and they seem to be very tiny clear mantis shrimp. The thing is as far as I knew I don't have any mantis shrimp in the pico 5gal, but yet here they are? Does anyone know are these little guys going to pose a problem for my tank? I've got a bubble tip anomone, sebae anomone, duncan coral, pagoda coral, GSP, Zoas, and some oysters. I'm planing on getting some Trid. Corcea clams.

Whoa, baby mantis shrimp? I would say that is evidence that you do have one, possibly two.

Hey Floyd, I guess I've got some parents some where, cause I've got tons of babies. Do you know how bad is this going to be???

Have no direct experience but people actively try to raise mantis shrimps with very little fortune. I think you will find that they will starve and be gone before long.

Hey Garf, all still there. After speaking with someone else I think they are tiny pistol shrimp. At the end of their clubs they have hooks so they're probably are pistols. Like I said before they are all still alive, fast little guys to :-)

Would be nice to find out what they are eating. You would need loads of food to keep that lot going !
