hi all 1st post on here and having a read around

looking to build a screen to supports a fish only around 150 Gal

my screen size is 12 x 14" lit both sides which im thinking of using the above but not sure if i will get enough spread to cover that screen

what you think ?

First I would verify the size of your screen. They are sized based on feeding now, not tank size. 12 sq in per cube per day. Your screen is big enough to handle 14 cubes/day.

14 cubes!! thats a bit much it is going to be a fish only with a few eels so although the feed is going to be up there i dont think it will be as big as that

i could maybe half it and then make a bigger one from there

now we have established that what do you think about the LEDS and how many per side

Well you can do with around 1 660nm Red LED on each side of a 4x4 screen. So to make it simple, do one per side of each 12 sq in of screen you have. So 4 cubes/day screen would need 4 reds on each side.
