Removing gfo and skimmer?

I have biocube 29 and using BRS gfo in mesh bag and tunze 9002 skimmer

I got the kit UAS hang on .5 cube and already set it up from 9pm to 3pm

Should I remove skimmer and/or gfo?.

My skimmer collecting dirty- light green every 3 days..

Certainly remove the gfo.

Remove the skimmer now if you want, or after the scrubber is growing.
