It it a double-layer screen? Did you rough it up? Can you take the pipe off for cleaning?

hi SM no i did nt double layer the screen can be easy done though, just need to cut ti raps and add a extra bit of screen material , it will be well sanded before fitting , yes it will all come to bits , also going to put algae shades over the slots ,
1 / are you better of having one full slot or lots of small slots ,

were the screen fits into the pipe work a full slot down the pipe or lots of slots across it ?

You obviously have to have a long slot to put the screen in. But the cross slot help more water flow, and keep it from clogging:

thanks got that ,
should i also double the screen material , will this be beneficial.
iam woundering SM if it would be worth trying some of that new screen material . just woundering how much it would cost to ship to uk ?

Two or more layers is always better. Very roughed up.

The new material is $10 shipping to anywhere. But it's for testing, and is only in one size: 11.5 X 11.5 inches.
