Low cost China display lights

I don't think their site is up yet, but linda@dsuny.com.cn emailed this info to me. Cost is $268 USD + shipping, for 2 lights and a controller.

Need more info.. types of LEDs used, ability to customize LEDs, and power they are run at. Just going off what I can see it looks like it would work fine for softy and LPS corals and low light SPS corals but Acropora would be slow growing. I don't think you are into acroporas though so it would probably be a perfect light for your tank if the LEDs are good (ie. correct spectrum). The problem with the Chinese LEDs is they play fast and loose on the actual spectrum of their LEDs. Royal Blue is normally 450-455nm but I have seen the spectrum from the China LEDs range from 440nm-480nm depending on the LED/day it was manufactured. I ordered 40 red LEDs that were supposed to be in the 650-660nm range and after testing them on a spectrometer 1/2 of them were actually in the 630nm range, which as we know is outside of the spectrum we want. Even high quality LEDs like Cree's vary in spectrum but at least Cree marks them with Bin #'s and they will tell you exactly the spectrum of the LED, I have never seen any China LEDs do that... but this light may use Cree LEDs. E-Shine fixtures for displays use Cree LEDs so just because the fixture is made in China doesn't mean it is automatically 'iffy'.

After about a year and a half of research and probing around with uncle Google i decided to take a leap into reef aquariums. We have had fresh water aquariums and ponds at home from as far back as i can remember and now i feel ready to have a go at a salt water system. Being In India i am constrained by the range of equipment and live stock available.

What i have.
I have set up a 180+ gal tank 6" x 2" x 2.5" (lxbxh) tank. I have around 240 pounds of live rock in the display with a coral sand sea bed of about 4in (Abt 200Lbs). The water from the under gravel filter is rotated within the tank using a 350 GPH power head. A 5 section sump (4"x1.25"x1.25x) with recron, bagged coral sand, bio balls, ceramic rings and charcoal is fed by an overflow from the display and water is returned using a 350gph.

Live Stock.
1 x Pink BT Anemone, 6 x Yellow Tail Damsel, 2 x Carrot Anemone (Not sure what this is).

Reason for posting.

It would be placed 3in above the tank. I have the option of customizing the spectrum with different colour lights and can go from 14000k to 25000k and with viewing angles 30-90 deg.

1) which would be the best ratio of configuration of lights?
2) what color should i go for?
3) what viewing angle would be best for the corals at a height of 30in.

Any help would be appreciated. and in case you are wondering the whole array costs USD 300 and shipping costs USD 170 by fed ex
