I came across a site that will custom make led fixture according to your spectrum and thought it may be of interest to those who would like to experiment with led:

They have a neat tool that is gives an analysis of your design. I just don't how accurate it is.

Nice find but the site/design is lame. You can only put the LEDs in a single strip, most people these days are making 'clusters' of LEDs to get the best blending of colors. They also don't have any spectrum below 450nm which is extremely important for corals.

it is still a young company. just went public a month or two. i heard they will add cyan and uv led in the next few weeks. we will see.
