Hi there,

I already have a scrubber setup on my 240 gals reef with 4 23W CFL bulbs two on each side. I want to do the same for my Clownfish breeding setup here. Now I'd like to experiment with these new Plant-Grow LEDs like these;

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1Pc-E27-RED-BLUE-60-LED-Hydroponic-LED-Plant-Grow-Light-New-1-9W-3W-3-8W-/281001972910?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=580148056508&hash=item416d05d4ae&_uhb=1#ht_2239wt_1111

I would like to have a 10 X 10 scrubber good for like 10 cubes a day or something. how many of these little guys would I need in order to light this size of screen from both sides?

Thanks for your help guys.

1/2 the CFL wattage.

So that would be 50ish watts right? then these little bulbs will not do the trick. Anyone that can recommend some good LED light out there?

Something like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-6-x-3W-RED-LED-650nm-660nm-Plant-Glow-Light-w-Driver-12V-24VDC-Input-/390497336126?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aeb747b3e or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-3-x-3W-Red-Grow-LED-650-660nm-w-Driver-Heat-Sink-12VDC-Input-Aquarium-/220866293590?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336ca82f56 would be good

Look at 660nm phillips LED's on rapidled.com. You will have to build the fixture yourself but is is pretty simple and not unknown ground anymore. I would give you a build thread link but I am at work on my phone, I am sure you can find one if nobody else posts a link though.

is literally a step by step method of my build-same principles would apply to any build
