hello guys,

I want to buy a hanna phosphate checker, do you use exactly this model? http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMBO-HANNA-HI-713-CHECKER-HC-PHOSPHATE-PHOTOMETER-HI-713-25-FOR-25-TESTS-/310373243110?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4843afd8e6

or exist another model with lower measuring range?

what about this for test alkalinity? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hanna-HI-755-Checker-HC-Alkalinity-Photometer-HI755-/370487949882?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5642cd7a3a

I believe that is the phosphate checker other people have. You'll want to get extra reagent packs, because 25 will not last long at all.

Yes I use both of those. Both are great.

Some say the Hanna P checker can give you vastly different results in back-to-back tests. I have not experienced this myself.

There is a Phosphorus checker that measures in parts per billion and then you convert over to phosphate using a multiplication factor (as there is a fractional relationship between phosphate and phosphorus) that test is supposedly more accurate or something. But the grand daddy is the Milwaukee kit.

Hi floyd, Is this the phosphorus checker you mentioned? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hanna-HI-736-HC-Checker-Phosphorus-Photometer-HI736-/390195541933?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ad97777ad

I use that tester, and like it.
Results vary a bit, but not badly. No surprise, reading such a low value.
Note that for the normal phosphate PO4 values, you need to take the phosphorous pbb, and multiply by 0.003
