View Full Version : Does values wavelength of led really true from fabric ??
I have a question :
Do you think is really true the value of wavelenght from led that we use it ???
the manufactory writen 660nm but some what I've got is doesnt really 660nm,
experiment that I use for red 660nm is not powerfull as warm white in my new setup ATS.
I use 15x1watt red 660nm and compare with warm white 15x1watt 3200k.
warm white more stronger to make it grow..

Are you judging light strength by eye or by growth ?

human eyes can not judg it but with we see they are growing yes we can..
I still waiting for the answer..
Its said red 660nm is the best for scrubber but mine warm white is the best..
something wrong with 660nm ?
thx.

Very possible depending on the LEDs used. Some of my 'China 660nm' LEDs are not 660 at all. Luckily I have a spectrometer at my disposal and I tested the ones I bought. They vary quite a bit and most of the '660s' were actually in the 620nm area. I had a feeling they were not right just from the looks, I could see a lot more Orange in the color than what I see on my OSRAM 660's. Out of the 40 'China 660's' I bought, only 8 of them were 660nm, the rest were under. If you use red LEDs in the 620nm range I can see how warm white LEDs could actually provide better growth.
I can see that.. another problem made in china
