I'm not finding any specifics on this.

I have 6 660-670nm and 1 455 LED per heat sink. So 12 total reds, 2 total blues.
Each heat sink is 240mmx76.5mm.
Which is like 9.5x3 inches.

I was thinking of doing the thing where you make a loop out of the screen, so you can just slide it on to your pipe. And then just drill your pipe instead of making the "slot".

How big of a screen can I get away with (Actual growth area of screen)? And how far away from the screen will the LED be exactly? 2.5" away from the screen?

I plan on getting another pair of heatsinks and more LEDs, if and only if I can get algae to grow.
You see, my tank doesn't have algae.
It's grown a very orange/rust colored stuff once before. But that was a long time ago when my bulbs were new and I left them on most of the day lol.

But my nitrates are wack now, and it's a constant battle.
If I can get algae to at least grow, then I'll believe the nitrates can be lowered that way and I'll build a bigger screen for my 180 gallon.

Large Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets. About 6-8 pellets a night between my 2 doviis.

Gee wizz, I wouldn't even know how to tell you. It doesn't say on any of my food packages :/

The large are about the size of a pea...

Let's say 1 cube.

12 square inches, 6 total LED watts.

I'd say it's probably more comparable to 2-3 cubes.

But I already have 12 3w 660-670nms and 2 455 blues.
Unsure what size screen I can get away with 6 red 3w LEDs. How much wider than the heatsink is the screen normally?

Heat sink has nothing to do with screen size.

I have 6 reds I was going to spread across the heat sink on 2" centers right...
So how much space could I cover doing 3 rows of 2?

I'd spread them out more... 3" apart.
