Hello, I am setting up a new tank and was thinking of adding a UAS in the middle chamber of my BC8. I currently have a waterflow ATS on my 37g and am satisfied with the results. The one question I have, am I able to us an underwater 10w halogen light (http://shop.mediabaskets.com/Underwater-10W-Single-Light-WTL10.htm) for the screen? I currently use it to grow chaeto but am hoping this will work. The screen itself will prolly be around 4x6 or so. Thanks for the help.

Can't the biocube 8 shine through the back wall?

The bulb you found might work if placed 4 inches away from the screen. Any closer and it's going to burn the middle. Halogens are the worst spectrum for algae, and make heat, and put out little light.

You'd probably be better off waterproofing two LEDs.
