Hey all,

Just looking to see who would be willing to show off there LED builds.

I would like to see a picture of what color and wattage and in what configuration.

I would also like know maybe the size of screen you are useing and how many cubes a day you feed.

And finaly any growth pics!

I am thinking of building a led fixture and was thinking of useing 12 red 4 blue and have not decided on a screen size yet.

Thanks All!
Cole

It is not a DIY LED, it is a premade UFO-style LED from eBay, but there are pictures and details. I don't know how much I feed daily, probably the equivalent of about 2 cubes. I dose lots of phytoplankton, not sure how to translate that into "cubes".

Hard for me to take pictures, even videos don't come out good due to the red/blue lighting, but here are my 2. I seem to have better growth when I put the LEDs at an angle vs straight on due to the high intensity and spectrum of the red/blue LEDs, others use diffuser panels to accomplish the same thing, both methods work IMO.

All red 20w multichip led: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20W-660nm-Red-42mil-LED-Panel-/270985788585?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1802fca9

8 red 1 blue 10w multichip led: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10W-Red-Blue-8-1-HIGH-POWER-LEDs-for-Plant-Grow-Growth-lights-660nm-450nm-US-/271133503587?pt=US_Lighting_Parts_and_Accessories&var=&hash=item3f20d0f063

I purchased the all red 20w because the red/blue wasn't available at the time. I would go with the 10w red/blue combo.

As for my display tank leds, I'm using 50w and 20w leds. Also added 4x http://www.ledgroupbuy.com/ocean-coral-white/ to fill out some of the missing light spectrum.
