I usualy dossing cacl2 and nhaco3, is there something wrong with dossing ?
is that posible what I dossed cacl2 turning becoming caco3(detritus) ?
why this happend ?

many thanks.

What ph ?

Do you mean detritus or precipitation ?

Dosing two part has to be done separately. Must be few hours apart from dosing Ca to alk.

Other advises will follow I think.

its seeming like detritus, very soft.. like sea sands.

I use 2 part separately, beak 1 day every dosing (cacl2 and nhaco3)
I seldom feeding, where is detritus came from while I always do 2 part dossing only ?
and never get bactery blooming, PH=normal cause KH steady in normal value.

What are Cal and Alk tests?

the result they are increase, but still confuse everytime I am dossing them, where detritus came from ????
its really detritus or precipitation ???
but postive its detritus, white soft like dust and sand..

reading parameters : N03=0, PO=0.
ca=increase from 300 to around 550-650, KH=8-9 now I stop cause they too high I guess..

using ATS and UAS, light 24hours. and a bit macro in refug.

That's definitely precipitation

Yes Cal is too high. Don't go above 500.

Detritus is brown or black, not white.

Are you saying that you have the ATS and UAS lights on 24hours? If so that is too much.

Its all white... probably still need cycling and prepare, as you know my tank before was a mesh..

If that so? how can be precipitation happend ??? while i am not dossing anything than 2 part.

its not that much cause the tank outdoor, all the time sunlight trough it. Algaes grow luxuriant....... even PO4=0

If you put Cal and Alk at the same time, they will precipitate.

Then its should be 3 days after dossing each part.
I know it will become caco3 if they mixing..

ok thanks SM.

Stop dosing Calcium.

If Calcium is not getting taken up by hard corals, then you should not need to dose it.

You need to do a water change with freshly mixed saltwater to reduce the calcium level to normal levels.

Maintain calcium between 400 and 450. I try to keep mine at 425 but sometimes I slack and it gets as low as 350.

You don't have to wait 3 days between dosing alk and cal. Just a few hours. You just need enough time for the dosed part to mix into the water evenly.

Any detritus will get eaten and go away. The white will stay, unless pH drops low, which will dissolve the white.

Its seem like calcium reactor device doing that, need ph drop to collect ca.

Ok then learn much more now.. thanks again SM.
