My question is?Can I use LED lighting spectrum is unknown because of a red color 660 Nm is not available in my country

Are you living in Syria today? If you are, you would have to be one of the most dedicated aquarist on the planet due to what is happening in your country.

To answer your question, you can use white LEDs, the 3 watt type, and mount them about 3 cm or 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch apart. With white LEDs you would use about 1/2 of the wattage per side of screen compared to a compact florescent light bulb, meaning if you needed a 26w of compact florescent, you could use 13w of white LEDs to get comparable results. This would equal 6 white LEDs per side of screen.

Why is 660nm not available? Are you restricted from buying from other countries?

Also per Ace's comment - I believe he is referring to "warm white" or "2700K" LEDs. If that's all you can get, use those.

Could have been over exposure from the LEDs being too intense. LEDS are more intense, if the screen turned white and nothing else was changed (flow, amount of time per day the LEDs were on) this would be the cause I believe. You might need to move the lights back in order to decrease the intensity, or place a diffuser in front of them.

Hi all, I used a lot of ways with LED lighting, and I could not succeed in reaching the hair algae, I used to saving 30-watt bulbs yellow, and this is what reached algae as thick as sponge and a little hair algae, what is your opinion on that?
