home depot new CREE bulbs?

I went to HomeDepot and noticed these new bulbs. Would these be worth putting them in practice?

Around the house, yes, I would use them everywhere. On an aquarium setting, no, can't think of a good use for them.

Yep. Wrong spectrum for growing algae. LEDs are a different source than CFL so the color temp is for rendering only (i.e. equivalent to CFL "look and feel") and useless for algae.
