Macro algae

I want to grow macro algae in my display tank. Will having an algae scrubber make it difficult to grow them?

You can balance the two. It will take time for the scrubber to ramp up, so you will have to vary the photoperiod, flow rate, etc quite a bit until you can get to a balance point. That point will probably change quite a bit until the screen growth is consistent

Just vary the hours on your scrubber.
