As I needed to make a new sump for my tank ( shallower to allow easier maintenance) I decided to knock up a floating scrubber.
I have had great success with my old downfall scrubber so lets see if I can get the same results but with easier maintenance...
I picked up 2 20w red LED lamps and made a simple 2 chamber box. Each chamber has 4 air intakes and 4 return holes ( not drilled yet )
I still have to epoxy some crushed coral sand about half way up the box and glue the 'strings'.
Heres what it looks like so far.....
