after reading several books on the subject of feeding fish and corals It has led me to think that just feeding the fish a low in nutrition diet ALL day long is the best option. It seems that fish fecal matter is the best coral food out there. I am still unsure about feeding pods and mysid shrimp though? Would the addition of phytoplankton be needed in a scrubbed tank? What do you guys feed?

The fish are easy, but for the corals it depends on which ones you want to keep, and how fast you want them to grow. Try focusing on NPS, and if you can keep them then the rest should be easy too.

Pour some liquid food in... they will swell up and then filter the food out of the water.

santa, are you still using blended oysters? How is it working for you? Do your soft corals benefit form the extra food?

No I long stopped that, scrubbers could not keep up. All corals benefited at the time, however.

None. I just feed from the scrubbers. No time to deal with fancy coral stuff.

you mean your fish only eat pods and algae falling off the scrubber?

Algae I pull out and throw in.

For the fish I use spectrum new life thera-a, frozen mysis, osi brine shrimp flake.
Corals, (when I feed them) marine snow, and live rotifers. (unless I need them for baby clowns)
