Waterproof LED options

This lack of options is why we build our light from scratch with 3 watt leds, although it's customized for our SURF2:

So, here are some other options I googled, but have not tried, and may not even work:

The trick seems to be search for "channel" lighting for signs.

theres no cheaper option LEDs to put on the outside of your upflow scrubber other than the one used for the SURF2? I understand people are building their own drivers etc, my screen is going to be rather small like 8x4"... nothing on ebay I could just attach on either side of the box and plug and play?

There is almost no other use for a red, waterproof, high power LED, other than channel lettering illumination for outdoor signage. Thus, few people make them. There are several in China, but you know how that goes.

This is one reason why I started with the HOG design, because it does not need waterproof LEDs.
