i know theres a few guys on here with some very good led experience
so i was hoping you could help me out lo0oking to build a waterfall scrubber

will the lamps be too power full . box size will be 300x160 so will filter 50g tank with ease

or use a CFL bulb with reflector.

If you want to go with LED's - you will need roughly 2 to 3 Watts of LED light for every 8 sq. Inches of waterfall scrubber screen.

For example a screen 4 X 5 inches would be 20 sq. inches and need 3 - 3 Watt LED's spread out or a spotlight such as in the link of 10 Watts.

I have one of these 20 Watt spotlights lighting a screen that is 5" X 8" that is doing very well.
