alright guys. I've been lurking this site for quite some time (3 months to be exact). I have a 15"x8" screen. lit by 14 red LEDS per side. It's all fed off my 180 gallon display tanks dual overflows. the only growth I've gotten in the 3 months it's been running is about a 1" strip of brown algae at the very top. I've had a few issues with tank. I've come to find out the stand isn't quite level after initial setup and I have to have overflows choked down quite a bit to have enough water in the display for both overflows to work. I still get quite a bit of even coverage over the screen. whole system is being run by a 900 GPH eheim pump. I feed roughly 1-2 cubes of homemade food everyday, and i have about 7 smaller fish in display. help me ATS GURUS!

Welcome.

Anytime there is a strip on a waterfall, it usually means blocked flow. But you say yours is even. So some pics would help.

Some questions:

You have 14 RED LED's - what wattage?

How many hours are you lighting your screen?

How close are your LED's to your screen?
