View Full Version : Side flow in water scrubber

Just thought I'd share this.

I ran a strip of mesh lengthwise in a 4' tank just below the surface and then adjusted a small return pump to flow over it. I had 2 old white / blue strips I used to light it (rested on the tank ledge for the glass top).

I got heaps of growth - no need for bubbles (u can see a bubbler in the pics I made for a mate just below it)

Hi - sorry I cant remember getting a notification. The side scrubber worked well until I shut the tank down. Algae grew well with just water flow running along it.
