Hey guys. I was hoping to get some help with this. I have a seven inch slot for my waterfall scrubber and the water shoots out at 45 degrees the first two inches of the slot that the water encounters. The other five inches it pours straight down the screen. Any suggestions? I'm just trying to get the water to flow like I've seen in so many videos. Thanks in advance for the advice.

If the slot is the recommended 1/8" (3mm), then as it grows it will fill in and flow more evenly from then on.

Thanks for the reply SantaMonica. If I understand you correctly your saying that when the algae starts growing the water will spread more evenly across the screen. Basically I really dont need to worry about anything for right now. If thats the case I'm going to get the lights on tonight and give this thing a try. Thanks again.

Yes that's right, if the slot is about 1/8"
Another thing to consider is that when you cut your slot, you may have had the saw at an angle when it first cut into the pipe. You may be able to take a file and straighten it out or saw it a little more, starting from the other side.

Thanks for the input Sly! I did double check my cuts for some loose straglers or bad angles. The waterflow is alot better now that algae is growing on it.
