I just bough a 450 gph pump. I tried installing it on a 11inch (wide) by 12 inch(tall) vertical waterfall scrubber. The water comes shooting out so fast that it sprays all over. Is this because the slot in my pipe is to wide?

try putting some clear plastic over the top of the screen - I use a cut plastic storage bag.

This will help control the water. The plastic will actually stick to the wet screen.

I could be; should be 3mm. Although all new waterfalls do that until they fill in.

I have just started my scrubber and a.sheet of cling film down it sorts it out.
