Hi peoples,
I'm currently moving my 3ft reef into my new 6x2x2. I want to build a scrubber that will keep up with the growth of my new tank. When I move my current animals into their new home they will probably be eating one cube a day, as they have been for many months. The feed rate will increase once I add more animals to the new tank.
I'm building a 4 cube waterfall scrubber, powered by four of these, but with all red LED's, two on each side of the screen. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-12W-2Blue-554nm-4Red-660nm-Hydroponic-Plant-Flood-LED-Grow-Lights-265V-/321349639835?pt=AU_Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item4ad1ee5e9b.
My question is, because my initial feedings will be low should I start with one light on only? The screen will still be the size of a 4 cube scrubber, but only a portion of it will be lit sufficiently for good growth. In a few months, when I add some fish and increase the feed I can turn on another one, and so on.
Do you think this plan is feesable or should I just crank up all of the lighting and let it rip?
Thanks.
