Hi guys. I'm new here but have been reading up for a while on algae scrubbers and am working on a couple of different ideas. I was planning on making my own led setup but found a couple of products online that I was curious about. Does anyone have any experience with these, or any opinions?

Marineland 660nm light strip:

Light panel on Ebay (I know it has more than just the 660nm and royal blues but for the price it is tempting to give it a shot):

Thanks for any input!

Welcome.

The square Ebay panel is not enough light, but they also make a 45 watt version the same size, which is enough.

The Amazon one is waterproof which is good, but the wattage is very low:

.06 watts per LED

Thanks for the advice. I couldn't find anything on the wattage of the Marineland strip until you pointed it out. Looks like I'll probably just make my own as I had originally intended. Has anyone experimented with multi-led chips versus the standard singles?
