algea scrubber inside skimmer body

The inside of a skimmer body seems like the perfect environnement for a scrubber
If you could line the inside with plastic sheets as the medium and provide light to it, why not ?

Has been posted a few times before. The bubbles are small however; bigger is better. Might be hard to clean too, and light would escape.
