I have a 3 month old algae scrubber that quickly grows a thick, dark, dense layer of algae on the screen. I clean it weekly leaving some on there to keep it seeded and not rinsing with water. I just allow the free bits of algae to flow into the DT as a snack. Screen is about 8"x8"

I currently have a par 38 spotlight led, one 1600 lumen (100 w equiv.) led standard bulb, and 2 2700k 23w CFL bulbs on the scrubber on a 17 hour light schedule. Pump is a large 2300 gph aqueon dialed all the way back plus an inline ball valve on the plumbing slight closed. Water currently streams swiftly but smoothly across entire screen.

I am still unable to get turf algae, or lighter green algae despite my best attempts. I feed an entire cube of food a day plus small treats/snacks and about 4 sq. inches of nori.

Phosphates are about .10 ppm and nitrates are just above 4 ppm tested using the red sea test kit. I currently also have algae in the display tank on the tops of about half my rocks. I know that I could possibly have a couple rocks leaching phosphates as well but levels seem to be under control because they are constant every time I check.

What improvements and changes do I need to make?? And Thank You in advance

Welcome.

From the growth color, I can say you need more light. At least increase the hours to 22 per day. Then, move the lights closer if you can.

Flow is fine, because it is delivering plenty of nutrients to make the dark growth.
