2 x $17 dollar custom ebay LED panels
2 x ~ $9 drivers
Old computer heatsinks and fans I had laying around
Few hours of assembly
Misc stuff I had (left over plexi, silicone, wire, etc.)

Total out of pocket cost was ~$52. This is the result sitting on top of a 6' 125 gallon tank. They need to be lifted up at least 12" or so, the light is WAY to intense directly under them. Still, they look pretty workable, especially for the price.

They will eventually go on a 3' 65 gallon tank.

I do already, that big black box above the pod LEDe is my LED light I custom build a few years ago. It was originally for a 55 gallon but it was so overkill it is to much for my current 125 gallon tank. I keep it at around 30-40% of what the 700mA drivers are capable of, and less than 25% of what the 1000mA LEDs and 23 pound heatsink are capable of. Of course, when I built that it cost me around $700 to build, a far cry from the $52 special that will light a friends 65 gallon.

Below is a picture of my normal light on, any brighter than this and things start bleaching and burning.:
