Built an UAS for my 145 gallon reef tank.
Been having very slow to no growth, all I've been getting is very stringy long brownish stuff.
Im using a top fin air 3000 and a cree warm white 25W led bulb inside metal reflector.
I run the light 12hrs a day( from 7pm to 7am),
I've attached pics for reference....any thoughts/idea would be greatly appreciated

First, you need to scrape off slime, so that green hair can attach.
Did you rough the screen?
Next you need more hours of light; and preferrably you need a plant-grow light.
Dark growth needs more light.

LED lamps like the ones you use in a light fixture are not for scrubbers, because they just give off light that looks the same in your light fixture versus incandescents or compact floresents, but just for home use. LED grow lights are red. So you would want a regular cfl in that reflector not the LED bulb, floresent bulbs that are the warm white type have a lot of red, LED warm white don't really

picked up a "plant grow light" from home despot, 60w incandescent . if that doesn't work, ill try the led flood
