At last my SM HOG2 turf scrubber has kicked in and turf/hair algae is starting to grow nicely. I recon in another week or so I will have to do my first harvest of it. With a bit of luck my caulerpa which arrived unnoticed and becoming a pest will die back if not go all together. 2nd pic shows the turf scrubber attached to the sump. A BIG advantage for me is that my scrubber takes up so little space in my sump. I hope to be able to remove my pellet reactor soon or should I leave it there?

Yay!!
You can slowing reduce the pellets. If you reduce too fast, the scrubber may grow dark slime.

Thanks, is it best to reduce the pellets after I have cultivated the algae a few times?

Does not matter, as long as the scrubber does not turn dark:

First cultivation of my HOG2 turf scrubber. I think it will need a few more harvest's before I begging to see any real improvements esp with my dam Caulerpa problem.

Very nice.
By the way, it is a HOG2, not a HOB2 :)
